Charity Gift Shop @ Thiksey
Charity Gift Shop @ Thiksey
Where is the best place to buy gemstone malas in Ladakh? At the shop that saves lives!
In May 2026, His Eminence Thiksey Rinpoche inaugurated our new charity shop. 100% of our proceeds help to pay down our dogs’ medical bills. Our medical bills are currently around 1.2 to 1.5 lakh per month ($1,200 USD to $1,500 USD a month).
More than just a fundraiser, we wanted to provide quality souvenirs to domestic and international travelers. That’s why we offer semi-precious gemstone malas (both 108 and wrist malas), including crystal quartz, amethyst, tiger’s eye, carnelian, turquoise, and more. We also offer .925 sterling silver chains, charms, and earrings (also set with real gemstones!)
And, of course, we offer local Ladakhi specialties, including local herbal teas, apricot jam, seabuckthorn (Leh) berries and natural skincare (moisturizer, soap, lip balm, hair oil) that uses local speciality ingredients such as seabuckthorn and apricot oils!
Are you a local Ladakhi vendor who would like to sell in our shop on consignment? Please call us at 94191 77783.
*All of our stock was purchased by a donor so truly 100% of our malas, silver, and shawl proceeds go to the dogs!
Make sure you stop by Ladakh’s best souvenir shop, where every sale saves a life!
The inaugration was led by H.E. Thiksey Rinpoche on 22 May, 2026. We were so fortunate to also have Kelkhang Rinpoche (Tashi Lhunpo), Zotpa Rinpoche, and Ngakchen Rinpoche (Tashi Lhunpo) in attendance, as well as other beloved Thiksey lamas.
We’re proud to feature quality gemstone malas and silver, as well as svarves, shawls, and bags–plus local Ladakh favorites, like seabuckthorn and apricot based skincare!
